You're About to Hear More Andy Cohen and He's Bringing Pals like Jeff Lewis Along with Him
The WWHL host is staying on SiriusXM, and we have all the details.
All the mazels go out to Andy Cohen! It was confirmed on Wednesday (October 2) that he has signed a three-year contract extension on his SiriusXM deal, meaning he will continue to host his show, Andy Cohen Live, on SiriusXM through 2022.
In addition to that, this deal also includes Radio Andy's other programs including Jeff Lewis Live, Bevelations with Bevy Smith, Dan Rather’s America, Reality Checked with Amy Phillips, and Sandyland with Sandra Bernhard, as well as other programs. He launched RadioAndy in 2015.
“I love the freedom of radio, especially long form, uncensored interviews and the immediate connection with my audience. Building this channel into a platform to discuss everything from politics with Dan Rather to pop culture with Jeff Lewis has been an incredibly satisfying creative experience,” the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host said in a statement to Deadline. “I’m grateful to have three more years to continue expressing the breadth of my passion and one channel up the dial from my radio hero, Howard Stern.”
Much like on WWHL, Andy has welcomed A-listers to his SiriusXM studio over the years, including Jennifer Lawrence, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Calvin Klein, Selena Gomez, Monica Lewinsky, Gloria Vanderbilt, Dolly Parton, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Caitlyn Jenner, Mark Wahlberg, Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Donna Karan, Lindsay Lohan, and his BFF John Mayer. His interviews, just like on WWHL, frequently break and make news.
Earlier this week Andy and Jeff made headlines after they confronted each other over some unresolved issues during a recent conversation on Radio Andy. The conversation ended with the longtime friends and coworkers in a good place after they got some clarity on these issues.
As for what makes Radio Andy so special (you know besides all of what we mentioned above), Scott Greenstein, president and chief content Officer, SiriusXM, added in a statement on Wednesday: “Andy Cohen created a channel for us that hadn’t been heard on radio before, and in only a short time it has routinely delivered news-making interviews and compelling conversation. We are thrilled to have Andy Cohen staying in the SiriusXM family. He is an incredible interviewer and personality, and has developed a roster of original talent on his channel that have passionate followers amongst our audience nationwide.”
Oh, yeah, and Andy is obviously very excited by the news. Like multiple exclamation points excited:
