Lisa Vanderpump Has Volunteered to Be Andy Cohen's Baby's Fairy Godmother
The Vanderpump Rules mama was "shocked" by the WWHL dad-to-be's big baby news.
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen Clubhouse was abuzz on Monday night in the wake of Andy Cohen's December announcement that in just a few weeks, he'll welcome his first child, a son via surrogate. When Lisa Vanderpump stopped by WWHL this week, she was definitely feeling the love (clip above). And earlier in the day, the Vanderpump Rules boss stopped by The Daily Dish and opened up a bit more about her take on Andy's new chapter.
"I was just shocked because I had no hint of this, he never said and I'm quite close to him ... I'm shocked," she shared in The Daily Dish offices on Monday afternoon. "I don't think he has a partner right now, but he obviously feels ready to take on that responsibility. I know from seeing how much he loved Wacha, his dog, that that kind of prepares you a little bit, you know, having that responsibility. I'm very excited for him."
Having raised two kids herself, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills restaurateur offered up this advice for papa-to-be Andy: "Well, I'm sure theres a plethora of advice, but I think it's difficult when you have baby at the beginning and there's just so many questions and it's just a process. It's just a learning process [but] just to love them as much as you can. You can't love them too much."
And if Andy is on the hunt for any more parental wisdom, LVP added, "Oh, he can call me 24/7. I have all the time in the world for Andy Cohen."
In fact, Lisa is perhaps waiting by her phone for a call from Andy for something else entirely. "Hopefully, I'll be a godmother. Oh god, that would put the cat among the pigeons. I'd like that, actually. I would," she said. "I am [a godmother to other kids already], but there's not many because we've moved around the world a few times; we've lived in France, England. No, I would love to be the fairy godmother."
With Jax Taylor recently offering up himself as a possible contender for godfather, this is proving to be quite a (Bravo) family affair.
