Amanda Sanders: I Got a (Temporary) Boob Job

The RHONY image consultant opens up about her experimental new procedure.

By Sarv Kreindler

Friend of the RHONY Housewives Amanda Sanders took her job title of image consultant very seriously when going on a recent Caribbean trip with her new boyfriend. She decided to find a way to fill out her bikini tops a little bit better—just for the weekend!

Amanda got a temporary breast enlargement, a procedure in which a doctor injects saline solution into the breasts, she tells the New York Times. The results last for about 24 hours before the saline (saltwater) absorbs into the bloodstream.

"It was worth it," Amanda said of the $3500 procedure. "I could wear halter tops and a string bikini and feel really sexy. I’m in the business of vanity. As an image consultant, I have to look the part and be the part.”

The procedure has gotten popular for women looking for a boost for a specific event like a wedding, red carpet appearance or, in Amanda's case, weekend getaway, although it is not without controversy. It has yet to be FDA-approved and some plastic surgeons won't perform it.

Amanda didn't spill the beans to her boyfriend about how she went up from a C-cup in time for their trip, "but he was certainly very happy," she claims. Unfortunately, a little extra padding wasn't enough to keep them together. They have since broken up.
