Aesha Scott Reveals She Recently “Gained” a Sweet Family Member

Aesha Scott’s family got a little bigger last year.
The Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew shared the exciting news via Instagram this week when she shared a heartfelt recap of 2024. Aesha posted various photos and videos of the past year and recalled some of its most memorable, including the birth of her niece.

“Bits and bobs from the last of 2024!!!!” she captioned the January 2 carousel. “What a great year!! I bought a house with my love, got engaged, launched a drink, gained a niece, travelled the world, and made many many incredible memories with friends, family and new humans. What a time!!”
Aesha didn’t share any more details about the family addition; however, it’s safe to assume she was referencing her brother Jared Scott’s newborn daughter. In December, Jared’s wife, Lara Scott, posted a photo of Aesha and her sister, Courtney Scott, holding the baby.
“I can’t wait for them to take Mila on Weekend getaway’s and only tell me half the things that happened lol,” Lara captioned the post, reshared by a fan account.
Aesha Scott shares a message of optimism for the new year
Hours after posting her 2024 retrospective, Aesha returned to Instagram to shed more light on the past 12 months.
“I feel like everyone that I’ve talked to has said that they had a really average 2024. I loved it, personally, but I don’t want to rub that in,” she said with a laugh. “It just seems like the general consensus is that people didn’t love the year. So, I really, really hope that 2025 brings happiness and contentedness and peace and all the lovely, lovely things.”
As Aesha mentioned in her January 2 post, 2024 marked major milestones for the longtime yachtie. She launched a brand of alcoholic coconut water, got engaged to Scott “Scotty” Dobson, and purchased her first home in New Zealand. Fans recently got a closer look at the couple's abode when Aesha shared a peek at her family’s holiday celebration.
“First Christmas in our home,” she captioned a December 25 photo.

2025 is looking to be another big year for Aesha, as she’s expected to tie the knot in early 2026. She spoke about her wedding plans in a May 2024 interview with The Daily Dish, saying she wanted the ceremony to coincide with the holidays.
“We want to do it in the New Zealand summer, which is obviously over the Christmastime,” she said. “We don’t want to do it this summer. We want to do it next summer. We want to enjoy this phase, and we also wanted to wait long enough that all of our American friends and family have enough time to save and to really turn it into a big holiday.”
