Aesha Scott Keeps in Touch with These Below Deck Mediterranean Yachties
The Below Deck Down Under chief stew, and former Below Deck Mediterranean cast member, also discussed her current role on Galley Talk.
Aesha Scott may have traded Below Deck Mediterranean for Below Deck Down Under, but she still keeps in touch with a few of her former yachties.
The chief stew revealed as much in an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish. She also spilled on Galley Talk, weighed in on Captain Sandy Yawn’s temporary takeover of Captain Lee Rosbach’s charter, and so much more.
Aesha’s Below Deck Mediterranean Besties
Aesha told The Daily Dish that she remains extremely close with both Anastasia Surmava and Hannah Ferrier. “I still talk to them all the time,” Aesha said. “I went and stayed with Anastasia, like, five weeks ago.”
The duo even spent Thanksgiving together. To mark the occasion, Aesha took to Instagram with several photos from their time together, writing in part, “I’m most grateful [Anastasia] has gifted me with her and her [family’s] endless love and warm welcoming energy. Remember to recognise the big and small people do for you and make sure you give them your time and energy back.”
Continuing to share who she’s still close with from Below Deck Mediterranean, Aesha said she talks to Tumi Mhlongo and Captain Jason “all the time.”
“I’m lucky that I’ve still got a lot of good friends from the show,” she added.
Aesha’s Reaction to Captain Sandy Becoming a Relief Captain
As fans are surely aware, Aesha’s former captain is temporarily filling in for Captain Lee on Below Deck Season 10. “I was so shocked because I don’t think we’ve ever seen a crossover like that before, have we?” she said, reflecting on the moment she heard the news. “But I also felt really excited because I love Captain Sandy — I think we all love Captain Sandy — and it just felt really cool to see such a familiar face coming to help Lee out.”
Aesha’s Experience on Galley Talk
As part of her role on the currently airing fourth season of Galley Talk — during which she and several other past franchise fan-favorites watch, critique, and give their honest opinions on Below Deck’s all-new episodes every week — Aesha is paired with Below Deck Med’s Kyle Viljoen. “I’ve been having so much fun because I’m actually getting paid to sit on the couch with my friend, watch TV, and have food delivered and alcohol there,” Aesha said. “That’s my job. Like, can anyone win more than that? And then, to top it off, we’re watching Below Deck, the current season, Season 10, and it’s so good.”
