Bravo Top Chef's Padma Lakshmi and Tom Colicchio Score Emmy Nominations
The Top Chef duo is among the nominees at the 2020 Primetime Emmy Awards.
Bravo's Top Chef earned four 2020 Emmy nominations, including ones for Padma Lakshmi and Tom Colicchio, who have been nominated in the Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program for their work as co-hosts.
The other 2020 Emmy Awards nominees in that category include Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman for Making It, Nicole Byer for Nailed It!, the experts of Queer Eye, RuPaul for RuPaul's Drag Race, and the investors of Shark Tank.
Padma said in a statement to The Daily Dish: “How exciting that Top Chef is nominated again this year! So proud of our entire cast and crew that continue to work so hard on our beloved show. Thank you to the Academy, for also nominating me again in the host category. I am beyond humbled.”
Tom said in a statement to The Daily Dish: “After 18 years the show is still going strong and it’s always special that our peers in the Academy continue to recognize our contribution to great TV.”
In 2009, Padma and Tom were also nominees in the Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program category together.
Top Chef's four 2020 nominations include Outstanding Competition Program, Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program, and Outstanding Picture Editing For A Structured Reality Or Competition Program.
The series has won the Emmy Award in years prior for Outstanding Picture Editing for Reality Programming in 2008 and Outstanding Reality - Competition Program in 2010.
Season 17 of Top Chef featured All-Stars who competed in previous seasons of the competition series.
