That Lady Who Photobombed Beyoncé and Jay-Z Speaks Out, Reveals She Asked the Rapper: "Do I Know You?"
After her encounter at the 2018 Grammy Awards, she also revealed what it's like to hug the "Halo" singer.
One of the most memorable moments from the 2018 Grammy Awards weekend didn't even take place during the show. In fact, the moment lives in infamy on Beyoncé's Instagram feed. The instance we're talking about has nothing to do with their daughter (though Blue Ivy was, also, pretty entertaining during the telecast), but instead a woman who photobombed the "Halo" singer and Jay-Z. The moment happened backstage at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy Awards Gala held at the Sheraton Hotel in Times Square and it featured Susan Monaghan, who is now spilling all the details about the night.
“I think it’s hysterical. Strange things happen to me," she told The Boston Globe, via NME. “I’m thinking in my mind, ‘Who is this?’ And I looked at [Jay-Z] and he looked tall, and thin, and had curly hair, and was really good-looking.” She even said to him: “'You look familiar, Do I know you?’" And then when Bey caught her eye, she thought, “Oh, my God!”
She continued, via Entertainment Weekly. “I looked at her and all I could think was, ‘No one is going to believe me. No one is going to believe me.’” So, this is why she thinks the now-famous photo saw the light of day: “I think she posted it for me,” she said, via Harper's Bazaar. “So people would believe me.”

Oh, and in case you ever wondered what it's like to hug Beyoncé, the answer is, yes, it's magical: “I felt like I was hugged by an angel.”
