Shep Rose's Family's Gorgeous Mountain House Was the Backdrop to His 40th Bday Bash

Shep Rose could have easily marked his 40th birthday with a wild house party at his awesome beachy bachelor pad in Charleston, a celebration-ready abode that has a huge ping-pong table in the basement and plenty of booze stocked in the bar. But instead, the Southern Charm bachelor opted for a quieter affair and headed to his family's mountain home in the Appalachians in North Carolina to spend the weekend with four generations of family members.

The Rose property oozes charm right from the flower and stone-lined driveway. Shep spent a lot of time out there playing with the family grandkids and "grandpuppies," but he also logged in some adult time fireside, lounging alongside the home's enormous outdoor hearth. The epitome of indoor-outdoor living, Shep's family home has a huge wrap-around outdoor terrace, lots of overstuffed lounge furniture, and views for days. We understand why Shep headed for this hills this birthday!

Inside, the manse is all that you would want in an Appalachian home: a majestic fireplace, wide-plank wood floors, cozy wide armchairs, and ottomans. We're going to guess there was some pretty great food cooking in the kitchen to pair with the cases of Hall wine that were sent up there for the occasion.
