Shannon Storms Beador Spills on the “Super Sweet” Man She’s Dating After John Janssen Split
The RHOC cast member has already introduced him to her good friend, Flipping Out’s Jeff Lewis.
Shannon Storms Beador is dipping her toes back into the dating pool following her recent split from John Janssen.
The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member revealed as much during the March 24 episode of Jeff Lewis Live before dishing on one particular suitor that Jeff said he had already met. “Shannon had a date last night,” the Radio Andy host teased. “We’re not gonna say the name, but she brought a gentleman caller with her to dinner [and] I liked him a lot.”
Shannon described the mystery man as “very handsome” and “super, super sweet.” Not only that, but he’s also “super fit,” she added, “and that’s a good influence for me.”
They were apparently introduced by one of her “core four” friends, and although she was admittedly hesitant to go on the date, it sounds like Shannon found the night to be a success. As she put it, “I thought, ‘OK, it’s a dinner. Like, I’m not gonna like this guy,’ but he’s super sweet.”
The date comes just less than five months since Shannon and John split. Reflecting on their breakup, as well as her divorce from David Beador, she said, “When David and I broke up, I stayed home for seven months. I didn’t go out to dinner, I didn’t do anything. And I thought, ‘OK, John and I had broken up probably almost three months before it became public.’ So my mom goes, ‘Just go out to dinner with the guy.’ And I did.”
Now, they already have plans to see each other again. “I’m gonna see him tomorrow. We’re gonna go to dinner with my core three,” Shannon said. ”The four couldn’t make it, so [it’s] the three of us.”
That’s not all the two have planned, though. Shannon is headed to Cabo for an eight-day vacation that she and John had initially booked together, and while she’ll mostly be relaxing on her own, she said that her new man is set to join her “for part of it.”
As Shannon previously revealed, she was “blindsided” by her and John’s breakup, especially considering that they “were in a great place.” What’s more, John had apparently told Shannon he was ready to take their relationship to “the next level.”
“I got teary-eyed with the words that he was saying and I thought, ‘God, we are gonna get there,’” Shannon said in January. “I just thought whatever the next step is, we’re gonna take it. I remember tearing up and I remember saying very kind things to him.”
Less than a week later, in the final days of November, John told Shannon he was “done with the relationship,” she recalled, adding that despite their abrupt split, “I have never loved anyone close to as much as I loved John, [and] I wanted everything for the entire time to work out.”
John, for his part, told People that the breakup was a “super hard” decision for him to make.
“I’ve been in pain over it. It’s sad because I love Shannon very much,” he said in January. “I have loved her more deeply than any woman in my life. She’s one of a kind; so funny and generous and full of life and adventurous. We have a connection that’s unlike anything I’ve ever had. And I know that for as long as I live, I’ll never meet anyone like her again. But that doesn’t mean we’re right for each other for the rest of our lives.”
“The last thing I wanted to do is hurt Shannon, but I do think I did the right thing for the both of us,” John concluded. “We’re two people who love each other very much, but love is not always enough. And while I know Shannon sees it as I’ve said things to her I never meant, I hope she’ll be able to see that there’s no bad person here. It’s two really good people who couldn’t make it work.”
