Christian Siriano's Colorful Pop-Art-Inspired Collection Is Pure Eye Candy
Technicolor fabrics, dramatic sleeves, and caped shorts stole the show at the Project Runway mentor's Spring 2020 New York Fashion Week presentation.
With his colorful, dreamy designs and an always diverse range of personalities gracing his catwalk, Christian Siriano's runway shows make for an unforgettable experience. This year, Bravo's Project Runway mentor took his highly-anticipated New York Fashion Week showcase to new heights with the help of New Orleans painter Ashley Longshore.
Informed by Longshore's unique use of neon and pastel hues and textures, Christian's ready-to-wear Spring 2020 collection features a spectacle of glamorous gowns with technicolor fabrics, dramatic balloon sleeves, ruffled tulle skirts, and feather detailing.
Christian's evening wear selection extended to metallic seafoam green blazers with matching skirts, glittering hot pink dresses, printed pantsuits, and a "safer" all-black division filled with sleek one-shoulder jumpsuits and fringe-detailed dresses.
As to be expected, Christian's show celebrated models of all complexions, sizes, and ages — with familiar faces Coco Rocha and Maye Musk making an appearance. As models hit the runway, they passed canvas portraits by Longshore of famous pop culture figures like Laverne Cox, Lady Gaga, and Frida Kahlo.
