Rosie Pope, Negotiator
Bravotv.com's Assistant Editor dishes on all the baby mama drama from Episode 4.
Rosie didn't have it easy this week between Mina's very low Mommy IQ, Michelle and Gary's holy war, and Rosie's own motherhood struggles. But as always this week's comic relief came from LT's dance session with Hannah and Rosie. While Hannah and Rosie may not be made honorary Kiki Twins for their moves yet, under LT's continued tutelage there may be some potential there.
The most shocking thing about Mina in my opinion was that she was so calm even though she was completely unprepared and her baby was scheduled to arrive in a week. She seemed more concerned about her imported linens and the "take home" outfit than making sure the changing table was safe. Denial much?
I felt for the mother who volunteered to help Rosie out and let Mina spend some time with her baby. She looked understandably concerned when Mina was holding her baby (Mina wasn't exactly a natural). Luckily Herman seemed to be a little more at ease with a baby in his arms. But a little baby time went a long way in helping Mina get serious about motherhood.
Now how Michelle and Gary had never once discussed what faith they would raise their child with seems crazy. You'd think that it might have come up at some point. And if they weren't so concerned about religion when they got married, why is it an issue now? I honestly didn't quite know how Rosie was going to overcome this, but she managed to flex her maternity concierge muscle and help them reach a compromise. If she could make that happen, maybe we should be sending Rosie to negotiate peace in the Middle East?
And next week Rosie tries to turn rock 'n' rollers into rockin' parents. Mission impossible?
