There’s No Way Kylie Jenner Would Drop So Many Clues if an Actual Wedding Was Imminent
Give Kylie Jenner, Travis Scott, and (let's be honest) momager Kris Jenner more credit in this situation.
The internet went wild when photos appeared on TMZ of Kylie Jenner and her crew boarding a private jet with what looks suspiciously like a wedding dress. (See for yourself here.) Could her wedding to Travis Scott finally be happening?!
Color us skeptical — or still convinced they're already married — as we're not being lured so easily by this paparazzi bait.
Would some assistant really be carrying her wedding gown, half falling out of a bag? Even PJs are dirty and that tulle is moments away from being soiled by plane exhaust. And that other person carrying what could be a tux? Again, NAH.
Our biggest clue, however, that this was just a regular party dress? That looks suspiciously like a Saks Fifth Avenue garment bag — and do we really think the youngest self-made billionaire is really shopping off-the-rack for her wedding dress?
The only way they could make it more obvious(ly fake) is if someone was carrying a tiered cake, or boxes from Hansen's.
The official story — and logical explanation — is that this is actually for her upcoming 22nd birthday. She's no stranger to an OTT birthday lewk, and who says white needs to only be worn at a wedding? (It's also an ideal color for a baby shower as Gretchen Rossi proved.)
Don't just trust us — a source told PEOPLE that Kylie was flying into Salerno, Italy, to board the mega yacht Tranquility. Said yacht costs $250 million to buy and a cool $1.2 million per week to rent.
Joining her at the Van Nuys, Calif. airport Tuesday were "hubby" Travis Scott, baby Stormi Webster, Kylie’s mama, Kris Jenner, and her BF, Corey Gamble, and Scott Disick and his GF, Sofia Richie.
Cool, so she's just bringing along her fave boating ballgown as one does.
“It’s not Kylie’s wedding and she is only flying to Italy to celebrate her birthday," a second source clarified, adding, "Kourtney [Kardashian] and her kids are joining Kylie in Italy to celebrate her birthday. Kim and Khloé [Kardashian] are staying in L.A."
OK, well, it's not like she'd get married without Kim and Khloe, so until those two also start posting pictures in Europe, we're sticking with the birthday party story.
As Kylie said earlier this year (in a PAPER magazine interview) about marriage: "I'll let everybody know."
She just never clarified if that would be before or after it actually happens.
