Chris Martin Didn't Make It to Gwyneth Paltrow's Wedding, But Here Are the Celebs Who Did
The Oscar winner and the Glee producer tied the knot in an East Hampton ceremony on September 29.
Gwyneth Paltrow is famous for referring to her divorce from Chris Martin as a "conscious uncoupling." And though some people (OK, a lot of people) mock the phrase, we think it's pretty admirable that the duo worked so hard on keeping their breakup amicable, especially since there are children involved.
Still, there's only so far one can go in being friendly with an ex. And when it came time to draw up the reportedly teeny guest list for Gwyneth Paltrow's recent wedding to Brad Falchuk, it would seem that Martin didn't make the cut. Or, perhaps he was invited but otherwise engaged — he did peform at the Global Citizen Festival on Paltrow's September 29 wedding day.
Still, there were plenty of famous faces who did make the East Hampton event. According to multiple reports (including this one!), some 75 guests made it to the ceremony.
Guests included Paltrow's mother Blythe Danner (of course), Robert Downey Jr., Steven Spielberg, Rob Lowe, Jerry Seinfeld, and his wife Jessica. Cameran Diaz was also there with her husband Benji Madden.
And by the way, there are perks to having a world-famous director at your wedding: Spielberg reportedly acted as the unofficial videographer, and brought a handheld camera to film the action.
