Tiffany's "Don't Mess with Texas" attitude has a charm that makes everyone want to visit her home state. At age 15, she worked at IHOP where she learned the speed she needed to help her during her time in the Top Chef kitchen. By the age of 17, Tiffany's leadership skills and business savvy began to form. While still in high school, Tiffany received her seafood training from Houston's Pesce Restaurant. After graduation, she became the Executive Sous Chef of Grotto Cucina.
In 2013, Tiffany established Tiffany Derry Concepts (TDC), a company established to support her business and culinary ventures, including television shows and partnerships with the world's most recognized brands. Since her time on Top Chef, Tiffany has also become a food ambassador with the U.S. Embassy and has traveled all over the world in the name of food.
Tiffany owns Roots Chicken Shak, which has two locations in both Plano and Austin, TX. Her next restaurant Roots Southern Table opens in mid-Spring 2021.
