10 Under-$200 Designer Wallets You'll Love Forever and Ever
These pieces from Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Michael Kors start at $45.
I like to think I’m pretty loyal when it comes to most things — and fashion's no exception. Case in point: my wallet. I’ve been carrying the same starburst-embossed Commes des Garçons zip-around since I first spied it in a Lower East Side boutique in summer 2007. In that moment I knew that love at first sight was real, and that I’d just experienced it.
We’ve been together for a decade and counting now, and I still admire the very same things about my CdG wallet that I did in the beginning. Like that it has just the right amount of pockets and card slots to let me fit in everything I need without enabling my receipt-hoarding habit. Or like how it’s one of those rare wallets whose dimensions fall into that sweet spot of not-too-big / not-too-small (because everyone knows that size does matter). Plus, it's inpired me to clean up my act, thanks to its ingenious little built-in origami coin purse that’s so easy to use I no longer dump handfuls of change into my handbag never to be seen again.
At around $250, my purchase was an expensive one, but time's now proven that it was worth it. After all, based on cost per wear it's a super-bargain — not unlike the classic, under-$200 wallets ahead from Coach, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Michael Kors... Invest in the right one now, and I promise you'll love it forever after.
