Sarah Jessica Parker Has a Brand New Hairstyle ... With Bangs!

There was much suspense leading up to it, but Sarah Jessica Parker has finally revealed her brand. new. hairstyle. This is exciting stuff, people! While the Sex and the City icon changes up her shoes and outfits on the regular, it's not every day that she veers from her usual style of sun-kissed, gently tousled waves. So, when the actress posted a sneak peek of major changes to come, we were on high alert. 

On February 5, SJ shared an Instagram snap that showed off shorn snippets of her honey-colored hair. (The image also outed Parker for still using a Blackberry device, but that's our gal: delightfully old-fashioned, in the most civilized way.) Parker's caption served as a major hair tease, with the words "Not saying anything" as our only clue.

SJP's stylist, Serge Normant, doubled down on the secrecy: "Not saying anything either," he wrote, next to a repost of the actress' first cryptic snap.  

How were we to wait?! This was nearly as suspenseful as the This Is Us Super Bowl episode! 

Luckily, our questions were soon answered. By February 5, Parker was ready to reveal her new style to the world. Now more sun-kissed than ever, SJP's strands have been snipped to reveal side-swept bangs. And of course, the style suits her marvelously. But, something else in the photo of the bangs' big debut also caught our eye — check out that bag: 

The snakeskin style Parker was carrying is, alas, sold out. (Such is the power of "Carrie Bradshaw" showcasing an item.) But, a black-croc version of the very same Elizabeth and James backpack is still yours for the taking. Honestly, we kind of dig the style in glossy black even better — it's just that much more versatile. And, once we zero in on a backpack we like, we tend to wear it constantly. After all, this size carrier can tote a laptop, groceries, or our latest Sephora haul.
