Million Dollar Mitzvah
Josh gushes about Ruth and his mother.
OK... first off, I have to say that Ruth is the cutest thing ever! I had so much fun working with her and was sad to see her move. I have never met a 90 year old women who is so with it. She got every joke and even joked back with me. Even though I didn't make any money off of this deal, it was definitely worth helping her make this big move. I know how nervous she was, and I did everything in my power to make it easy for her to have a smooth transition to Boston.
And how about my mom? Isn't she fantastic? I think she has brought me more deals than anyone. You can see where I get my negotiating skills from. When I'm negotiating with her, I always lose.
Back to the boys... Josh Flagg's offer that he presented to his seller was not a bad deal. Sometimes you have clients that you want to shake and say, "Take the deal!" but it just doesn't happen. The poor homeowner is going to lose a lot of money on this house. I feel for Josh and understand why he walked away. In real estate, your time is the most important thing. With an unrealistic seller you're not only going to waste your time, but also your money and energy. It's just not worth it.
Madison's client seems like a tough businessman who knows what he wants. You need to take charge when it comes to a buyer like this. Madison is too soft for this client. His relaxed attitude won't work with this type. Maybe he's spending to much time on the beach? That client was owning him. I felt embarrassed for him just watching this scene. I see why the two businessmen who were interviewing him thought he looked like a kid who needed to be put in time out. I'm thinking the city is to tough for him.
