Josh: Sometimes Clients Get Emotional

Josh talks about managing clients' expectations and emotions.

Josh Altman Has One Tough Client

Hi everyone,

How to Watch

Watch Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles on Peacock and the Bravo App.

A lot going on this episode. Let's dive right into it!

I always appreciate a good prank. I like to laugh at myself, too, and the glitter bomb was pretty funny I have to admit. I guess you can come up with good pranks when you have lots of free time on your hands like Flagg. I felt bad for my intern Jacob, who had to clean it up, LOL.

A Mystery Package Arrives for Josh Altman

In Burning Man spirit I will say I actually have been to Burning Man, and it's an incredible experience. It was about eight years ago. I'm not sure I'd be able to do it again as I can't be away from my phone for that long anymore, LOL. Glad I was able to check that off my bucket list.

Let's talk about my clients. Sometimes clients get emotional over the sale of their property, so it's very important to not only control your clients but to control the situation. It's important to continually remind sellers that just because they want a certain amount for their home and although they may have invested a certain amount, that doesn't mean that they will necessarily get that number. At the end of the day, we got Steve a great price for their home and since then have gotten to spend some more time together and we recently hung out at the Concourse d'Elegance car show at Pebble Beach.

I'm glad you got to see Matt and I at at our best--pounding the phones in true sales. You got a good look at how well we work together, and the two of us are unstoppable when we're together. Having a partner in the real estate business is a huge benefit. Especially one you can trust 100 percent and always count on.

I thought Colton's gift to Josh was amazing, and the fact that Oscar Schindler's grandson wrote that letter is very special. I'm glad he was able to have that as his grandmother was an incredible woman.

Now that was one hardcore negotiation, let me tell you. Cody Sperber, AKA The Clever Investor, is incredible at negotiating, as well as making money investing in real estate. In fact, he's one of most successful mentors that I've ever met, and since then, Cody and I have gotten into business together mentoring real estate students. There's a lot to learn from a guy that has flipped over 1,000 homes in his career.

Can't wait 'til next week's episode and the amazing property that we're going after. If you're an architectural buff, you'll definitely appreciate it.

Also, I'm so excited as my book comes out next week. Make sure you pre-order it or grab it on stands everywhere at either www.theJoshAltman.com or any of your local book stores. I'll also be doing book signings in New York and New Jersey and Los Angeles if you want to come join me! If you're looking to step up your game and become more successful, you have to go out and buy this book. Trust me.
