Josh: Family Always Comes First
Josh discusses the importance of family and gives his thoughts on Flagg and James' meeting about him.
Hey everyone, sorry for delay. Crazy week with filming, selling, and speaking. In fact, I just made it in time to catch the episode tonight from another sold out speaking engagement, this time in San Diego. I have so much fun speaking and inspiring other agents and entrepreneurs around the world. With my book It's Your Move coming out on Sept 29th, there will be a lot more speaking events to come, so make sure to go to www.thejoshaltman.com to order the book and find out where you can catch my next seminar.
Tonight's episode was great. I'm going to break down a few key points for you in this week's mentoring session...
1) As you saw in Matt and I's listing appointment, we are known as the realtors who speak the truth about price, not your typical realtors who tell sellers what they want to hear just to get a listing (like the other realtors on our show). Sometimes you won't hear back from the potential seller, but at least you know you did the right thing by speaking the truth. In the end it worked out and honesty got us the listing. Can't wait till next week!
2) Teamwork is so important in this business. As you saw in the beginning of the episode with David and James, a breakdown in communication can make for a very unproductive work environment. It's very important to support the decisions your business partner makes and know that at the end of the day you both have the same goals.
3) Family always comes first! Always make time for your family. Tell them how much you love them if you haven't recently. I love the talks I have with my father and am so lucky to have someone like him to talk to.
On another hand, isn't it funny how the Brits and Flagg have decided to team up to try and compete with me? LOL. When you're at the top, there are always going to be others trying to bring you down. It's always nice to know that in Flagg and James' free time they spend it talking about Josh Altman. That's when you know you're doing it right. I guess after all that drama, the sunset plaza listing WAS very overpriced. I know the new realtor who has the listing now, and hopefully they can sell it as it was a cool house....at $4.8.
How about that business card trick? LOL.
Anyway, see you next week to see if we sell the amazing home on Mulholland and what's next for Heather and I.
