As the Botox Brow Strains
Martyn decides if Mary McDonald was going behind his back for their One Kings Lane collaboration.
This week's episode has some full on decorating action!
Kathryn Ireland gets down and dirty with her Ojai project and after a little confusion with her schemes gets an amazing look together for a fabulous Country French goes English via Southern California look that's become her signature. Her secret clients who appear to be some British aristocrats have sent in Carl, their estate manager to critique the work, and even he seems to love the finished (well sort of) look. It's a KI interior that sings within the architecture.
Jeffrey lets his boyfriend finally do a job on his own for their friend Amber Valletta, the supermodel-turned-actress. Her master bedroom suite is in need of a high fashion make over and Ross is to the rescue. With lashings of blushing pink, the interior takes on a bold look that poor Amber's husband finds has emasculated him. However I think it would take more than a splash of pink to do that to this fine specimen of manhood. And after Jeffrey waves his wand and softens the look with an accessories whip up the rooms take on a chic and unexpected look. Congratulations Ross!
While all this glamor is cooking, Mary and I have some designs of our own on the boil. We have been asked to design an exclusive and collaborative collection for One Kings Lane, the mega successful designer sale site for the discerning interiors minded client. . .
Now as exciting as this all is, a collaboration is something Mary and I have never done before and it's defiantly a learning curve. Upon our first meeting with Susan, founder and creative director of OKL, I, as is my style, arrive fully prepared with an array of items, drawings, boards, and accessories that I feel will inspire our collections. Mary just arrives with all her amazing ideas tucked firmly in her pretty head. Unbeknown to me, she feels upset that she wasn't as prepared as me and decides to go to Susan behind my back to present her own ideas. Finally ridden in guilt she comes to me to confess her secret liaison and come clean on her feelings. As tensions heighten and Botox brows strain to frown this collaboration looks on the brink of disaster. . .Or In fact has this little hiccup only raised the stakes and a spectacular collection will be born from this tension and conflict?
Well that my dear Bravo lovers you will have to stay tuned to next weeks show to find out. Our trip to magical India and all the inspiration that surrounds this exotic country is about to be revealed to you in unadulterated million dollar designing extravaganza!
