Caroline: "I'm Proud and Annoyed"

Caroline explains her conflicting feelings about Lauren's business, plus she gives details on her own latest venture.

Hey Guys! Episodes 5 and 6 are here and gone. I can’t believe it, only two more to go. Time has certainly flown by.

What do you think of Lauren expanding Cafface and changing the name without telling me? I’m proud and annoyed at the same time. Proud because she took the initiative and annoyed that there was no solid plan. Luckily, things worked out and business is good. I suppose I should just leave it at that, but believe me when I tell you, next time she has a brainstorm, it will be followed by a well-thought-out plan. Money doesn’t grow on trees.

I felt bad for Brittany when Ron insulted her. Many of you may say that I’m the pot calling the kettle black, but truth be told I would never blatantly insult her like that. I still have yet to have a conversation with her. She may be shy, or perhaps intimidated, but the truth of the matter is I just need to find out who she is as a person, what’s she made of on the inside, but I haven’t been able to break through yet. Brittany came to support Lauren, and no one has the right to insult her like that.

We’re going to Texas! I’ve come to terms with the idea of putting out a barbeque sauce, but I need to know that I can stand up with the best of them. Where else to go but Texas? My idea was to go with Al and the kids as a last hurrah before Lauren gets married and also to do a little recon while I’m there. It was a really fun time, and I got to peek into the kitchens of some really amazing barbeque restaurants. I will say this: I’ve decided I’m going to make the best barbeque sauce that a Jersey girl can make. I’ve got nothing on them. I do appreciate my friends from Black's and The Salt Lick for allowing us to invade their businesses. They were gracious hosts, and we had a blast.

The best night we had was the night at The Broken Spoke. We actually danced with the locals and learned a few steps the cowboy way. What great memories with great people. Fun, fun, fun.  If you are ever in Austin, Texas, take the time to visit The Broken Spoke. You won’t regret it!
