That Designer Handbag You've Been Dreaming of Is Suddenly on Sale

You see that gorgeous red bag hovering just above there? Marc Jacobs dubbed it "The Editor," and the moment I saw it, it became a minor obsession. I’m sure there’s no need to explain. You see its perfect cherry hue; its sleek, vintage lines. There isn’t much not to love. The only problem: its price tag.

Sure, $495 is nowhere near the $5K+ that might seem totally reasonable for a handbag if I were a Real Housewife and had a what's-a-budget? budget to match. But I’m not, and I don’t.

And yes, I could probably come up with some very tricky logic to justify my splurge — you know, cost-per-wear mathematics, that kind of thing. But when it comes down to it, if I’m going to spend a chunk of my salary on any item, I’d much prefer it be a bite-size chunk. Which is what makes today a particularly good day, because right now… it’s on sale. (!!!) Like, major sale. The discount is practically $150. 

And my pretty little bag isn’t some one-off bargain. Labels from Coach to Longchamp to Michael Kors to Alexander Wang are discounted right now, too — up to 80 percent off. So I, for one, am going to go ahead and shop the eleven designer classics ahead, with at least 30 percent less guilt.
