Dr. Pimple Popper Is Getting Her Own Television Special and We Are Giddy and Horrified at the Same Time

Can't. Look. Away.

By Jenny Berg

If you're obsessed with beauty — and have a very, very strong stomach — you'll want to set your DVR for this one. Dr. Pimple Popper, who's made a name for herself by tackling some of the gnarliest zits ever know to man, is getting her own television special on TLC.

Airing in January, the special will showcase the dermatologist, whose real name is Dr. Sandra Lee, hard at work with puss, cysts, and lots more gore. In an Instagram video that teased the special, the doc said, "I have a TV special going on about pimple popping — can you even believe it?" Frankly, we can't. And we're delighted.

For pop-a-holics who have wondered what life is like at Dr. Pimple Popper's office, the special will provide plenty of behind-the-scenes footage. To be honest, we're mostly curious to know if the doctor's staffers ever have an appetite when lunch break rolls around.

That's not it for big pimple-popping news. Lee also has a new series on Facebook Watch, which is called — wait for it — This is Zit. The series gets into all kinds of graphic popping situations, so just know that this one is definitely not suited to lunch break.

The first episode, which is already live, shows an epidermoid cyst. And let's just say: it's not exactly eye candy.

But for those who can't stomach the more graphic techniques of blasting pimples, Dr. Lee also offers gentler methods. The doc's skincare line includes everything from acne cleanser to sheet masks and moisturizer. And, just today, Lee launched a new Blemish Cream.

If Doctor Pimple Popper continues her reign in the beauty industry, zits won't stand a chance in 2018.
