Ladies of London's Marissa Hermer Is Opening Her First U.S. Restaurant — And It's Major
The Draycott will be famous for all-day dining and roving martini carts.
Marissa Hermer and her husband Matt Hermer, who were successful restaurateurs in London, recently moved from London to Los Angeles and are ready to take on the local dining scene. The Ladies of London mom of three shared earlier this year that they planned to open new concepts in America, and now they've announced their first project, an all-day British eatery in the luxury coastal neighborhood of Pacific Palisades called The Draycott.
According to Eater L.A., the Hermers named the restaurant after one of their favorite roads, Draycott Avenue in London, and plan to offer one of the amenities they were known for back home: martinis, served via a roving cart. (They still own two spots in England, Bumpkin and Eclipse.)
"When Matt wanted to move to L.A., he wanted to take some time off and really enjoy our family life. And I sort of thought, he's gonna have a great time — which he deserves — spending days at the beach and SoulCycle and having avocado smoothies and whatever else you do in Southern California," Marissa told The Daily Dish earlier this year. "But that lasted for three weeks, and he's already inspired about potential opportunities and new openings and looking at sites and sort of getting the lay of the land in the hospitality side in L.A."
Looks like it all worked out.
