Jessica: Up Close And Personal

Jessica Zajicek reveals her private side.

We all know Jessica. But, how well do we really know Jessica? (Get your minds out of the gutter, kids.)

We asked the captain of Team Griffin to delve a bit deeper into what makes her tick:

On...her personality: Hmm. I would describe my personality as intense and sensitive. Many other people have described me that way as well. Tom, when he first met me said he thought I was an "ice queen." This shocked me because my self-image is one of a total sensitive care bear. I guess when the cameras go on, part of me hides and I become the assistant vs. being just me. Not to say I'm fake; I just become more reserved and I try to just focus on doing my job.

On...her job: What do I think of my job now...I'm kind of just used to my job now. It's just a routine I do everyday. I don't think about it as much as I used to. I don't panic about it as much as I used to. I used to worry about doing something wrong. Now I'm comfortable and confident to know that if something happens here and there I'll be able to handle it. So I dunno it's kind of a family setting here and I enjoy coming to work everyday.

On...the little things: I get really excited about small things in life. In the past I have had very stern pet peeves that drive me up the wall. For example, I absolutely hate the sound of people chewing/smacking their gum, or hearing people swallow. It's like nails on a chalk board for me. I can't touch certain fabrics with out shuttering, I can't sleep without noise or fan or A/C and I have multiple pillows in bed with me at all times. I build a fort around me when I sleep. For some reason it makes me feel safe. I guess it's true what they say about the kid in us never really growing up completely.

Anything else? Also, I'm a pack rat. I keep random stuff for the nostalgic feeling. Part of my summer goal is to get rid of a bunch of stuff. It helps to just purge once in a while, plus you come across treasures you forgot you had or you find stuff and wonder, "Why the hell do I still have this?" It's a good, relaxing way to get organized, plus you can pass on stuff to friends or to Goodwill. One man's trash is another mans treasure!
