A Gay Fellini Film

Gary explains why he enjoyed the DSQUARED2 show so much.

By Gary Janetti

Hey everybody!

I was so happy to see this episode! Just getting to relive being in Italy was a real treat. I'd honestly forgotten so many moments of that week, it was wild to see these scenes between me and Brad and think, "I barely have any memory of that conversation." Jeez, I wonder how much of our lives is like that. We had so much fun that week, and it was really the first time I'd ever been to a fashion show or had even spent that much time in Brad's world before. We really got along great, and I loved going to the shows together. Enjoyed them all so much. Especially DSQAURED2, as I said in the episode. The energy in the room was so great, it really felt like a gay Fellini film. Love those boys. It was also great to be able to observe the entire fashion scene without really being a part of it. Sooo interesting and sooo much bad breath! No idea what that's about, but here's a tip -- always bring mints to a fashion show.

A Sense of Joy with D Squared
As far as the flirting with the women at the hotel -- what can I tell you? I'm Italian, it's in our genes. I was totally just being silly and having fun, obviously, but Italian women are so beautiful. I don't see how anybody straight or gay, man or woman, could NOT flirt with them!
Brad's Gay but What About Gary?

I also enjoyed seeing Brad doing his thing and especially the interest the photographers were always taking in his outfits. Seeing how this world has embraced Brad makes me so happy. It was the first time that I got to enjoy the perks of all of Brad's hard work. Getting to sit first, second, or even fifth row (OK, maybe not fifth) at a fashion show is a blast. (When Brad was going backstage to meet Donatella he asked if I wanted to go, and of course I totally wanted my picture with her, but I'm also kind of scared of her so I passed -- damn!)I enjoy Brad's company so much and to get to relive this trip has been wonderful. By the way, I had no idea I was drinking that much caffeine! I think I even saw my hands shaking a few times. Constantly sipping espresso in Italy will do that.

Now I want to go to Paris and see the Chanel show!

Next week final preparations for the anniversary party are taking place. I hope don't lose it on Steven. I kind of don't remember, it was pretty stressful. Oh, god.

Thanks for watching!

Best,

Gary
