Renovating? Jeff Lewis' Tile Is Exactly What Your Kitchen Needs

Like most homeowners, I am constantly renovating my house … in my mind. One day I’m gutting my kitchen as I make my kids breakfast, the next I’m popping out the family room and adding an indoor/outdoor fireplace as I fold laundry. Unfortunately, my bank account can’t keep up with my visions, but even if it could (and believe me, I pray that it eventually will!), I still probably won’t be able to afford to hire Flipping Out’s Jeff Lewis as my designer. Which is heartbreaking, because as I plan my fanciful renovation in my mind, I often find myself asking WWJD … a.k.a., “What Would Jeff Do?!”

Lucky for all us, we can access Jeff’s aesthetic on a regular-people budget thanks to his various collections at Home Depot. We told you about the barn doors we’re obsessed with, and now we’re pivoting and taking a look at his tiles, which can work on floors and walls, but in my humble opinion are PERFECT for your kitchen backsplash.

When creating a new kitchen, the backsplash is intrinsic to the room’s overall vibe. You want something that is soft and blends, but that has a bit more panache than standard white subway tiles. Jeff’s collection features more than a dozen patterns in white, grey and beige hues that are structured and eye-catching, but also sedate enough to keep your kitchen feeling calm (but still cutting-edge!).
