Miley Cyrus is Having a Full-On Twitter War With a Major Designer
This fashion label has had quite the contentious spring.
How does Stefano Gabbana even have any time to design for Dolce & Gabbana when he's constantly feuding with folks on Instagram? He's already lashed out over D&G's allegedly fat-shaming sneakers and his controversial support of First Lady Melania Trump. And now, Miley Cyrus is the target of the designer's ire.
It all started when proud big sis Miley congratulated her brother Braison Cyrus for his walk down the Dolce & Gabbana runway over the weekend (you know D&G loves a celeb kid). Miley's whole family is multi-talented, and they always support each other's endeavors, as we've seen on Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer. So, of course Miley would cheer on her handsome bro. The "Malibu" singer added a little disclaimer on the end of her post, though, writing: "PS D&G, I STRONGLY disagree with your politics.... but I do support your company's effort to celebrate young artists & give them the platform to shine their light for all to see!"
That's all it took for Stefano to go in. First, he wrote "Ignorant!!!" on her post, then he added this to another of Miley's posts: "For your stupid comment never more work with him."
He kept going, re-gramming Miley's post and adding another comment: "We are Italian and we don't care about politics and mostly neither about the American one! We make dresses and if you think about doing politics with a post it's simply ignorant. We don't need your posts or comments so next time please ignore us!!"
Miley fans are backing the singer up on her Instagram, writing things like "Grow up, darling" to Stefano and "Are you really 54 years old?" Whatever happens next, someone send Miley a "Boycott D&G" T-shirt, ASAP.
