She has a Bachelor of Arts in English, French, and film studies from Ohio University and a Master of Fine Arts in nonfiction creative writing from Columbia College Chicago.
Her freelance writing has appeared in Jezebel, The Outline, Time Out Chicago, and Newcity. In her free time, Cynthia writes and directs films. She also loves reading, listening to political podcasts, and watching historical documentaries (yes, really).
