Taylor Swift has made plenty of bold fashion statements. (We're still trying to find our own version of her epic, mermaid-blue Grammys gown.) But, the style star's latest look doesn't involve any clothing at all. And yes, we're just as shocked-slash-stoked as you are. The old Taylor would never get this racy.
The Reputation singer left a few tantalizing Instagram posts to tease the new video for "Ready For It." The 15-second teaser is dark, moody, and lit up with lightning bolts. In other words, it's the perfect pre-Halloween treat.
In the video, Taylor starts off as a flaxen-haired pop star with a taste for Gothic style. In a black hood and dark lipstick, she looks like a futuristic Little Red Riding Hood.
But after falling asleep for a moment, our heroine wakes up to find she's been transformed into some kind of robot-slash-doll that has magical powers — and limbs infused with light.
As she faces down monsters and shatters glass, this version of Taylor seemingly has not a stitch of clothing on.
But to be fair, it looks like she has serious stuff to do. Who can bother with getting dressed?
