Max Lu and Jingci Jessie Wang’s 2016 collection was a standout for sure and usedhigh quality fabrics and new materials such as lame, metallic, leather, and sequins to present her collection. THE BOLDER THE COLOR, THE BETTER
The Custo Barcelona Spring 2016 collection was an amazing colorful explosion filled with vibrant patterns and bright hues. Paired with equally as exciting handbags, the collection included flirty mini-dresses, flowy tunics, sheer statement blouses and mixed prints. Incorporating a mix of flared pants and textured aqua textured shorts, the color palette for the various looks were inspired by nature: petal pink, emerald green, violet, white gardenia, mauve, fuchsia, lime, tangerine, and Mediterranean blue came together harmoniously in the pieces. Juxtaposed to the colorful landscape, black remained an important constant tying the entire collection together.
Offering a splash of color, Francesca Liberatore’s color palette was limited but bold. Bright oranges and oxblood were matched with bleached white and ashy black for a stark contrast on the runway. Off the shoulder floor length dresses and sheer robes were both sensual and sophisticated.

SEQUINS, NEONS AND FAUX FUR
Libertine presented a fun and playful Spring/Summer 2016 collection that included colorful chains, pulsating patterns, neon, and glitter. A deliberate DIY aesthetic, Libertine was exciting and provided a breath of fresh air as the models laughed and skipped down the runway in their collaged tunics and rock–and-roll inspired ensembles. Standouts included a silver sequin jogging suit, a matching pants suit covered in silver sequin forks and a black sheer gown covered in multi-covered gems. Proving that the faux fur trend is here to stay, Libertine incorporated a gray and black multicolored faux fur jacket that was incredibly stunning.
