As the executive producer of Real Housewives of New Jersey since its beginning, Andy Cohen has developed strong bonds with the stars of the show—particularly Teresa Giudice.
So when Andy sat down with the cast for this year's reunion, it was an emotional one, especially now that Teresa is set to serve a 15-month prison sentence starting in January.
"It seems like it's Teresa's last reunion," Andy says in the latest episode of Ask Andy. "There was an air of seriousness and heaviness and emotion. It was just different. It was emotional and just layered."
"I got really emotional," he continues. "At the end, when I was talking to Teresa, I really held it together but I was basically, maybe, kind of crying! I was really emotional sitting there with Teresa talking about all she had been through with the show. When it ended, I gave her this big hug and I could barely look at her. I didn't want to cry in front of her. I was upset!"
With Teresa set to report for her sentence in a Connecticut facility next year, will Andy pay her a visit? "I have no idea," he says. "You know, the truth is, I would like to. If it would make her happy and make her life better, then I would certainly go."
