Why the Gorgas and Giudices Had Thanksgiving Apart

Melissa opens up about their separate holidays.

They may have reconciled their differences in the finale of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but that doesn't mean the Gorgas and Giudices spend every holiday together.

The New York Daily News reports that Melissa high-tailed it to Jamaica instead of spending the holiday with her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice and family, who are facing serious legal trouble.

But just because the Giudices and the Gorgas didn't cozy up for some turkey and stuffing doesn't mean there's discord between the families, who have worked extremely hard to make peace after years of brawling.

"We honestly haven't spent Thanksgiving together," Melissa told the NYDN. "We try to do Easter and Christmas with them. Joe and I usually go away for Thanksgiving or spend it with my family. We went to Jamaica last year too."
