Todd Tucker: How Marriage Improved My Health
Kandi's husband says his blood pressure has gotten better.
When Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker tied the knot in April, they celebrated their love in front of their closest friends and family—not to mention an over-the-top reception for the ages.
But Todd found another major upside to his nuptials: his health had vastly improved since popping the question to his bride.
"They say when you get married you live longer and it's true," he tells OK! magazine. "When we got engaged, my blood pressure actually started going dow. I had a little high blood pressure and as we got engaged and got married I went back to the doctor and they were like, 'Oh, your blood pressure is really good.' So I definitely feel the benefits of the marriage and you wake up happy every day, so far."

Of course, Todd's fractured relationship with Momma Joyce didn't help matters—she accused him of infidelity and being "an opportunist"—but Todd says his ability to deal with stress didn't adversely affect his health further.
"I work in television and production and there's so many stressful situations and I've just generally let things roll off my back and just deal with the problem," he says. "I just blocked everything out and paid it no mind."
Todd and Kandi are both back at work now that they're married—he's out in L.A. for a production project—but he says they're hoping for some R&R in the coming weeks.
Says Todd: "We do need to take some time to just relax...I know I have to pull Kandi aside for a few days for a spa treatment or maybe a quick getaway just to relax a little."
