Porsha Stewart: "I Feel Proud to Represent ... the Black Trophy Wife"
The Real Housewife has a message for little girls.
Porsha Stewart is one domesticated lady.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta starlet is more than happy to spend her days cooking, cleaning, and performing charity work. But she’s also proud to call herself a “black trophy wife.”
Say what?!
“Being a trophy wife per se is not just about your outer looks. It's about the man who has put you on the pedestal and him admiring you and thinking well enough of you to put you up there," Porsha told ABC News Radio. "And I think it's important for our little girls to know that they can be princesses and they can have it all...So I feel proud to represent -- and I use the word lightly -- the black trophy wife."
Porsha is married to football player Kordell Stewart, and the rest of the ladies of RHOA are already skeptical about the couple’s marriage since the girls' trip to Vegas, when Porsha refused to visit a strip club.
Porsha and Kordell are currently looking to add another tyke to their brood. (Kordell has a nine-year-old son, Syre, from a previous relationship.) They’re going on two years of wedded bliss right now, and Porsha says that any rumors of Kordell not wanting another child are completely misconstrued.
"With me suffering a miscarriage before that was difficult for both of us and... at that moment he doesn't want to put too much pressure on it because he knows how much that means to me," she said. "And really when you're trying to have a baby the best thing to do is to just not concentrate on it, just let it happen."
But Porsha may not be a housewife forever. The stunning southern belle is working on starting a music career, which means Kordell’s stay-at-home-wife may be a burgeoning career girl.
"I'll be coming out with a project," she said. "...I've been working with different producers to get that together. It's a very serious thing to me. It's not just play-play. I'm not just trying to put out a one hit wonder."
