Josh Altman popped the question with a 5.5 karat sparkler.
Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles star Josh Altman popped the question to girlfriend Heather Bilyeu on June 22—but what kind of bling did it take for her to say yes?
Josh tells the Dish that he proposed with a flawless D-color 5.5 karat sparkler set with over 370 individual pave diamonds and an 18-karat white gold band.
Even better: Altman designed the piece himself.
"I have a pretty good eye for jewelry so I thought of what my dream ring would be for Heather. The jeweler drew it out and we made some changes and eventually I said, 'Alright, perfect! Go for it!,' Altman says. "When he showed it to me, I flipped out—it was everything I had ever imagined."
Josh's bride-to-be agrees—though she admits, "I honestly thought it was a fake ring because it was so perfect. If I had the chance to actually go out and buy my own ring, this would have been it. It's absolutely stunning."
Now that he's engaged, Altman has just realized he'll have to go back to the jeweler to get official wedding bands. "He didn't know there's an engagement ring and then there's a wedding ring, so we had to break the news to him," Heather says with a laugh. Adds Josh, "I have no more money left so if anyone can send us one, that'd be great!"
