NeNe Opens Up About Her "Emotional" Wedding
All the details from the RHOA star's second nuptials to Gregg Leakes.
She's a blushing bride--again!
Since tying the knot once more with her longtime love Gregg Leakes, NeNe Leakes says she's on cloud nine. "I feel amazing," the Real Housewives of Atlanta star tells Life & Style magazine.
NeNe and Gregg were married for 13 years before divorcing in 2011, but reconciled and got engaged again in January. This time around, NeNe says their bond will endure because they've had time to grow and mature. "Both of us want this, so it will definitely work this time," she says. "I know exactly what I'm getting myself into...Gregg and I are real adults, so it was better."

The ceremony may have been better this time, too. The couple tied the knot in front of 400 friends and family at Atlanta's InterContinental Buckhead Hotel. The star-studded guest list included Kim Zolciak, Fantasia Barrino, Vivica A. Fox and Patti Stanger.
Leakes chose to go with an old-Hollywood theme: she donned a $50,000 Baracci wedding gown for the nuptials and later changed into $20,000 Pnina Tornai dress for the party. "I came up with the idea of having an Old Hollywood theme because I thought it would be completely fabulous and everyone would be able to have fun with it," she said. "I just did it my way!"
For the festivities, guests sat at tables festooned with three-foot floral centerpieces and gnoshed on hearty Southern fare: homemade biscuits, mac 'n' cheese, shrimp and grits and fried chicken.
Sure, the party may have been unforgettable, but NeNe says one of her favorite moments was being walked down the aisle by her sons Brentt and Bryson and marrying the love of her life one more time. "That was so emotional for me," she said. "And Gregg telling me I was beautiful--that was really special. I had a lot of teary moments."
NeNe's reconciliation with Gregg and her journey to the altar will be featured on the new Bravo series, I Dream of NeNe, which will premiere this fall.
