Lisa Wu Plots Her Return to TV
The former RHOA star also reveals which Housewives she speaks to.
One of Hotlanta's original Housewives is coming back to reality television. Lisa Wu will be one of the women shown on Hollywood Divas, a new show airing on TV One about the lives and struggles of five actresses trying to make a movie together in Hollywood.
"I’m doing what I love [and] I’m happy to be back," Lisa told Radio and TV Talk. "Doing this show makes sense. It’s among my peers.”
Though perhaps some of her co-stars may not exactly agree with that "peers" statement. Throughout the show, Lisa will be seen butting heads with some of them—actresses Golden Brooks, Countess Vaughn, Paula Jai Parker, and Elisa Neal—over the fact that she has a reality TV background while they have more traditional acting credits. Given that they are all now on a reality show, it's something Lisa finds "ironic and funny at the same time."
Since her two seasons on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Lisa has experienced some major life changes—divorcing husband, former NFL player Ed Hartwell, and now raising her three children as a single mom. Although she also continues to do real estate work, she has been keeping busy producing a couple of movies and even recently launched a lipstick line.
She also continues to keep in touch with at least one RHOA co-star: Kandi Burruss, whose husband, Todd Tucker, is actually producing Hollywood Divas. "She’s always doing her thing," Lisa says of Kandi. "I’m proud of both of them."
Hollywood Divas debuts on TV One on October 8th.
