Kathy and Rosie Take Some Blame for Family Feud
The RHONJ stars weigh in on last night’s explosive brawl between Joe Giudice and Joe Gorga.
It was the insult heard ‘round the world (or around New Jersey, at least), when Joe Gorga slammed his sister Teresa Giudice by calling her “scum” while the family was on a retreat to work on their issues.
Joe Giudice didn’t take too well to his wife’s name being dissed, and in an explosive moment, the two Joe's collided in what was possibly one of the biggest fights in Housewife history (watch it below).
The sibling rivalry between Teresa and Joe has been building all season, but what made last night’s episode so explosive? Kathy Wakile and Rosie Pierri weighed in on the fight on Watch What Happens Live.
“It was a lot of built up stuff,” Rosie told Andy Cohen. “Whether it had popped then or popped later on, it was gonna happen. It’s inevitable.”
But it wasn’t just built up tension between siblings that led to the brawl between the Joes. Kathy also took responsibility for the problems facing the Giudices and Gorgas.
“We’ve all played a part in it,” she admitted when asked by a viewer who was to blame for the feud. “We did a lot of talking and not enough listening...To say that one person is totally blameless would be very, very unfair.”
Though it’s hard to believe from last night’s fight, Rosie and Kathy maintain that the feud between Teresa and Joe was ultimately about love.
“I know Joe [Gorga] didn’t mean those things,” Kathy said. “It’s your sibling, so you know where you’re going to hurt her the hardest.”
