Happy 8th Birthday, Twitter!
Ever since it launched in 2006, the microblogging site has completely changed how humans communicate—140-characters at a time. It's inspired societal revolutions (Arab Spring!), overhauled how we experience major events like the Super Bowl, and—for better or worse—served as the platform for the world's most shared selfie (thanks Ellen!).
Twitter has also become the go-to digital soapbox for our beloved Housewives. Over the years, they've used it to communicate with their fans, get the word out about their brands (Fabellini! She By Sheree! Kyle By Aylene Too!) and, naturally, perpetuate ongoing feuds with their co-stars.
It took a minute for our Housewives to get the hang of things, however. And in honor of Twitter's big day, we went back to find 30 of the 'Wives first tweets (via Twitter's Discover Your First Tweet engine). Some showed a sophisticated use of the medium (hat tip to Porsha for her use of emojis!). Others revealed a childlike innocence. Every one is gold.
Of course, we couldn't help but look back at Bravo's very first tweet. What do you think?
