Gregg Leakes: "NeNe Loves My Children"
Her husband responds to "explosive" sit-down with his kids.
We're just two episodes into I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding but the drama has already begun for NeNe Leakes as she plans her second walk down the aisle with Gregg Leakes.
After an eventful second episode, which included an emotional therapy session with Gregg's adult children from his previous marriage, Gregg and NeNe both shared their thoughts in new blog posts.
In Gregg's blog post—his first ever!—the eager groom is hopeful about things between his wife and his children, who feel NeNe has been an obstacle in their relationship with their father. "NeNe loves my children, and truth be known, my children, all 5 of them, have nothing but love for her," Gregg writes. He also takes responsibility for the situation, adding, "Thing is, it’s up to me to get all this love floating around in the air to descend on each of us."
For her part, NeNe seems to sympathize with Gregg's children, blogging, "Divorce is hard on everyone in the situation! The way Gregg and his ex-wife chose to divorce and be bitter with each other produced hurt children." Despite calling the therapy session "explosive," NeNe hopes something good came out of it. "I hope our situation helped someone watching."
The drama amongst her bridesmaids however, may be less productive. NeNe also shared her thoughts on her lunch with friends Diana Gowins, Marlo Hampton, and Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Cynthia Bailey to tell them who would be joining them in the bridal party. On her blog, NeNe calls longtime friend Diana "Miss Territorial" and says she "has an uncomfortable attitude when new people are introduced into our circle."
NeNe makes it clear that she appreciates Diana's concern over her new friends but is her own woman—with her eyes wide open. "Diana feels Marlo is around to ride off my coat-tails or to try and seek out opportunities that I might have. Is her point valid? It might be and it might not be, but one thing is for sure: I have two good eyes and I’m a good judge of character, so have no fear, Diana, I got this!"
Gregg seems to be reserving his optimism for family. "Who knows, perhaps they will all find a way to just get along for the sake of our wedding," he writes. "Yeah right!"
To contrast, Gregg discusses his groomsmen, or as he refers to them, "the basement ballers." "I can't say anything but good things about my guys. No drama."
And of course, that prenup debate carried over to the blogs. While NeNe says she trusts Donald Trump's opinion that she should get Gregg to sign a prenup, Gregg tries to find some commonality with NeNe's advisor, "Come on Mr. Trump, help me out here! Remember I do wear your silk ties all the time."
I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding airs Tuesday 9/8c.
