Fall is one of my favorite seasons — the cool weather, colorful landscapes, football, everything pumpkin, and, of course, Thanksgiving! I want to savor every moment of it and certainly don’t want to jump prematurely into a winter mindset. My mom was the same way. Every year in September she pulled out her big bin of fall décor and placed pieces around our house: a stuffed scarecrow on the front porch, a small ceramic pumpkin in the guest bathroom, a scattering of pinecones on the dining room table. 

As an adult, I’ve enjoyed replicating that tradition. But it’s been challenging to find attractive fall-themed items that suit my taste. Don’t get me wrong, my home is very casual — it’s no Million Dollar Listing — but that doesn’t mean I want to put out cheap, plastic tchotchkes. If you’re feeling the same way, you’re in luck.
