Landon Clements Shares What She's Looking Forward to Next After Exiting from Southern Charm

Last month, Landon Clements shared she would not be returning to Southern Charm — and now she's opening up about the departure and her decision to focus on other interests. Landon confirmed she is now focused on living and working in real estate in California.

Landon recently went back to real estate school and, last month, shared that she "renewed my license and am thrilled to join the team at CLIMB Real Estate." She elaborated on that new career move in an interview with PEOPLE this week.

"I love real estate and the hospitality … That’s what I sort of wanted to get back into. I know that if I want to get to the next level of things, I really need to get to work and be with people who believe in me, and training with them all summer has helped me so much.”

Landon currently lives in Malibu and added "I’m excited to pursue other things and we have so much fun making the show, but you know, I was just ready to do some other stuff now."

In addition to pursuing her real estate career, Landon remains close to her stepdaughter (her ex-husband's child), who also lives in California. She spoke to The Daily Dish about their relationship earlier this year.

She shared, "I also have a 14-year-old stepdaughter and that's a lot of the reason why I've been back in California so to be able to spend more time with her now that she's out of school. So this whole 'I don't understand kids or what it is to be a mom,' like, I've had a child since I was 24 years old. I mean Lola was 3 when I started dating my ex and she just turned 14 last week. So I've sort of raised a child. I know what it is. I was the girl scout leader when she was in kindergarten and you know did all of this stuff. I love it. I have two nieces. I come from a really big family, so that's just very natural to me."
