"Bra Bulge" Removal Is the Hottest New Plastic Surgery Trend
It's not cheap to get rid of those little imperfections.
Remember how Chrissy Teigen revealed she'd gotten lipo...on her armpits of all places? She called it the ”dumbest, stupidest thing" she'd ever do, but she said she'd do it again in a heartbeat. Looks like Chrissy isn't alone in worrying about her armpit fat. Allure has reported that "bra bulge" removal plastic surgery is on the rise.
That's according to anecdotes from plastic surgeons who say young and active women in their twenties, thirties, and forties are zapping out the fat around their armpit and back. There's a couple ways to go about getting rid of bra bulges: you could go the lipo route, like Chrissy. That's the oldest and best-known option, according to Allure, in which fat cells are vaccumed out with a wand and the area is stitched back up.
There are newer, less invasive procedures too. Over in the UK, The Independent has it that surgeons are using a SulpSure laser to get rid of armpit fat. Some patients are choosing Coolsculpting, which kills fat cells by freezing them. There's also Kybella, which is traditionally used for double chins, but could melt away fat with an injection.
Either way, this is an investment. Both Kybella and CoolSculpting require multiple treatments, at around $600 to $700 per pop. Armpit liposuction starts at $3,500, according to Allure. Guess it depends on whether you view those little bra bulges as "worth dropping a couple grand on removing" annoying or just plain annoying.
