A News Anchor Reveals Her Beauty Secrets for Looking Camera-Ready

On NBC News' Snapchat show Stay Tuned, co-host Savannah Sellers always appears bright-eyed with radiant skin, but don’t let her freshed-faced appearance fool you. Most days, Sellers is only running on about three hours of sleep! So, how does she do it?

We recently got to chat with the 26-year-old co-host, and she shared her best tips and tricks for looking camera-ready at all times — even when you’re constantly missing out on a full night’s rest. For Sellers, the key to her on-air look begins with proper skincare. Since her day begins when most of us are still dreaming, puffy and tired-looking eyes are a common concern for Sellers. Her solution: “When I get in the car in the morning, I put on Sephora Eye Masks," Sellers shared. "I’m addicted to them, especially the pomegranate one because it’s anti-fatigue and brightening. I usually terrify the security people downstairs when I come in with them on, but I’m like, 'It's 2:30 in the morning, I don’t care.'"

Sellers follows up her eye mask with a hydrating eye cream and SPF 50, which is an asbolute must for the co-host. Then comes her makeup. While Sellers has gathered her own collection of tried-and-true products, her makeup artists play a major role in creating a TV-friendly finish. "There are a lot of nice finishing powders that can help you look camera-ready," she revealed. "My team’s makeup artists often use Make Up For Ever’s HD line on me, which is made for that. So it is important to look for products that are made for that reason."

Sellers has also found a few genius hacks for when she's in a time crunch, like using her chapstick for a quick hit of moisture: "I’m obsessed with Nivea’s A Kiss of Moisture chapstick, I have it in every single bag. When I’m running around in a dress or a skirt, and I didn't put lotion on my legs, I’ll just put a bunch of the chapstick on my fingertips and use it as lotion.” Hey, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do, right?
