Katie Flood Explains Why She Doesn't Keep Her Third Stew Solely on Laundry Duty
The Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew cleared up a misconception about the way she runs her interior team.
Katie Flood wants to make something very clear about her third stew Courtney Veale's responsibilities.
On the September 20 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the titular host brought up a Below Deck Mediterranean crew member's claim that a third stew is usually "laundry bitch." Naturally, chief stew Katie had a lot to say on the matter.
During a game of "Agree or Disagree," both Katie and chef Mathew Shea were quick to "disagree" with the claim. "So, Katie," Andy concluded, "third stew is not laundry bitch?"
"Her point is: if we're on a bigger boat, yes," Katie responded. "We're on a 55 meter [yacht]. I've got two girls under me. So that means Courtney's going to be in laundry all season? F--k no." In fact, Katie noted, all stews should be prepared to do laundry at some point. "It's part of the job," she said. "If you want to be a stewardess, that's what it is."
As Katie shared during the episode, Courtney's skillset goes far beyond the laundry room. "Rate Courtney's twerking skills on a scale of 1-10," Andy asked, to which Katie replied, "I mean, I'm gonna give her an 8."
