Heather Dubrow Explains the Problem With Intermittent Fasting: "Skinny, Tired People"
Heather talks intermittent fasting versus the philosophy of "interval eating" from her new book, The Dubrow Diet.
Andy Cohen recently gave broadcaster Savannah Guthrie some serious side eye when she talked about trying the controversial celeb-favorite Keto diet, which encourages intermittent fasting. So when the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host had Heather Dubrow in the Bravo Clubhouse, it was a hot topic he wanted her to tackle, too.
"When you say the word 'fast,' it sounds like skinny, tired people," The Real Housewives of Orange County alum said. "I don't like the image that presents, so we talk about 'interval eating' in our book The Dubrow Diet. We teach you when to eat and what to eat. And honestly it's not just gonna get you to your goal weight but it's gonna make you..."
Andy jumped in: "So how many days a week do you not eat?"
"No, no, I eat every day!" she said. "It's called interval eating, we want you to eat."
Andy wanted to know more about this idea: "So do I eat lunch?"
Heather explained, "You can choose when you are going to do your eating periods and your non-eating periods. And it's not only gonna take you to your goal weight, it's gonna make your skin tighter, it's gonna make your hair grow — it's gonna give you energy. This is the plan for your life."
