Briana Culberson Explains Why She's Pausing Her Keto Diet After Welcoming Her Daughter

After documenting her experience following the Keto diet over the last few years, Briana Culberson is now explaining why she decided to change up her food routine after giving birth to her daughter, Cora, last month. 

"Cora and I are on a strict feeding schedule since she came a little early in a tiny package. Because there’s not a lot of research on Keto and breastfeeding, our doctors have put me on a different eating plan until Cora gets bigger," The Real Housewives of Orange County daughter wrote in a March 8 Instagram post. "I’m not at all worried about losing weight, I’m only worried about her gaining."

Briana added that, on her new eating plan, she is "trying to focus on eating whole foods and avoiding inflammatory foods to avoid a possible lupus flare."

While showing quinoa salads and chickens in her Instagram post, Briana gave the backstory on one of her new go-to meals. "When we came home from the hospital, my mom [Vicki Gunvalson] made these 2 quinoa salads that were SO good. I picked at them for days!" she wrote. "Made them again tonight to stock the fridge (made some adjustments for what we had on hand). These are not keto but are super delicious."
