Bella Hadid Just Made This Hilarious '90s Trend Look Smoking Hot
PSA: Your jean is begging for more jean.
Fashion 101: If Bella Hadid wears it, it's hot. So, it appears that the Texas tuxedo is now — or, again — a thing. Earlier this week, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills daughter stepped out in Paris wearing the all-blue '90s trend. And, she looked every inch the international cool girl. Even in denim. On denim.
With her hair slicked back, the off-duty model wore oversize sunnies and separates by designer Marques' Almeida. (Confession: we're all about the relaxed, roomy fit of those jeans. When in Paris, that means... more frites!) Bella finished the look with black pumps, and slung a leather bag casually over one shoulder. Werk it!
This isn't the first time the California native has paired jean with, well, more jean. Back in April, she wore head-to-toe denim by Lorod. She added a sexy touch to that look by leaving her jacket open, revealing a sheer black shirt underneath. We call it: The Date-Night Texas Tuxedo. (Trademark pending.)
It would seem that Bella's big sister Gigi also has a more-the-merrier philosophy when it comes to denim. Over the summer, the top model made the case for two-tone jeans in an eye-catching look by Re/Done. We're digging that flare.
So, let's boil this down: It seems the Hadid formula for nailing this trend is cropped pants, plus shrunken or sheer top, finished with pulled-back hair and pointed-toe kicks. (Oh, and great genes don't hurt.) It just goes to show: the '90s renaissance isn't going anywhere fast.
Also, maybe Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake were onto something with their matching looks at the 2001 American Music Awards. Makes you think, doesn't it?
