Gwyneth Paltrow Celebrated Marriage to Brad Falchuk With 90 Wedding Cakes
The party began with a meal prepared by a chef with a sweet connection to Gwyneth Paltrow and her groom, Brad Falchuk.
If this is what Gwyneth Paltrow serves her Goop employees for lunch on any old weekday, you know that her wedding menu was next-level. And, now we have proof that the Internet mogul — who recently tied the knot with producer Brad Falchuk — knows how to wine and dine a crowd. At Paltrow and Falchuk's September 29 wedding in New York, People reports that the couple served up a feast prepared by chef Mario Carbone, at whose restaurant the couple had dined on one of their first dates. Dishes included crab-avocado salad, scampi tortellini, and — for the entree — a choice of prime rib or honey-mustard duckling. Sides included roasted duck-fat potatoes.... and, we're salivating.
And if that sounds good, just wait till you hear about dessert. The couple allegedly couldn't agree on a wedding-cake flavor, and so they reached a compromise that pleased everyone — and then some.
Apparently, Brooklyn bakery Nine Cakes created 45 miniature carrot cakes in honor of the bride; the groom's wish was granted with 45 individual chocolate-and-vanilla cakes. We only have one question: Did this couple, like Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright plan to do, serve late-night Taco bell? We're guessing that's a giant g(n)oop(e)!
